Terribles - 1917"
This piece represents the
first in a series on the famous 32ND "Red Arrow"
Infantry Division, feared by the Huns and immortalized
forever by the French High Command with the title of
"Les Terribles".
Here, a typical member of
the famed division is holding one of the spoils of war,
gathered from the battle fields of France. Faced with
the ever present threat of a mustard gas attack, the
soldier dons his gas mask, hoping there won't be a need,
but understanding that when the dreaded cry of "GAS!" is
heard, he will be prepared.
